In the early 1960s when Carroll Shelby took a British AC Ace and shoved an American V8 under the hood not only did it put Ferrari on notice, it took the Automotive world by storm. On the track and on the street, nothing could touch a Shelby Cobra. Original production Cobra's are very hard to come by and can run deep into the the six figures or even higher. Of the builders creating Cobra replica's today, Superformance is the only one licensed by Shelby automotive -https://www(dot)superformance(dot)com/factory-models/mkiii. Since 1996, Superformance has produced only a very limited number of Cobra's and maintain their reputation for quality and being most like the original production models. This '65 SC MKIII has been in the possession of it's current owner since 2001. Before bringing the car to Gateway, the RDI 351w powerplant was freshened up and now produces just shy of 500hp.
